T5. Musicians track (for Christian musicians who want to know how to go about
composing, publishing, and marketing culturally-relevant music)
Breakout sessions:
T5.1 Sing a new song
In this session the participants will explore what it means to “sing a new song” and where they can find the musical, poetic, and spiritual inspiration.
T5.2 Discovering your heart music
Before we can understand the heart music of others we need to gain deeper understanding of our own. Participants will have an opportunity to analyze the uses and functions of their heart music and how it connects them with others.
T5.3 Composing heart music
Participants will look together at approaches to birthing new songs.
T5.4 Thinking outside the church box
How can we break out of our musical ruts by looking at a wide range of needs that can be met through song, thus discovering new themes, new purposes, and new contexts for a wider variety of music styles?
T5.5 Exceptional examples of new songs in Asia

This will be an opportunity to here from people who are effectively encouraging new songs as an outreach to others.
